The Beautiful Mind Project

We at FBB believe:

  • that everyone has a "Beautiful Mind", regardless of their abilities,
  • that some of the most Beautiful Minds go unnoticed because of the common perception that those with disabilities are incapable,
  • that we can all learn from those with disabilities,
  • that anything is possible as long as their is proper support, resources and the will to overcome!

With these beliefs in mind, we developed "The Beautiful Mind Project", a fundraising program designed to help local charities and programs that work with all kinds of people with different abilities. We hope that our support can help these programs to develop awareness, gather important resources, fund proper facilities and ultimately foster and nurture the beautiful minds of our community.

100% of the funds raised will be donated to help with purchase of modern equipment, the development and upkeep of existing facilities, and the funding needed to hire and train professionals. We aim to ensure that Williams Lake has the best resources available for those with special needs to make it possible for everyone to "Live the Dream".

How to Help

As an individual:

  • Purchase one of our Beautiful Mind decals,
  • Donate funds directly to the program by visiting our office in Williams Lake

As a business/organization:

  • Feature our poster and pamphlet with or without the sale of our signature decals in your establishment,
  • Donate directly to the program and be featured on our website as a supporter

THE CDC AUTISM CENTRE

A Beautiful Mind Project

As the funds raised for the project are donated to selected local charities and programs based on the immediate needs of the community, we are proud to be supporting the Cariboo Chilcotin Child Development Centre in the development of their new Autism Centre!

The new facility will house various programs aimed at addressing the diverse needs of individuals with autism such as:

  • Life Skills Coaching
  • Parent Support Groups
  • Social and Emotional Training
  • Job Skills Training
  • Behavior Intervention and Therapies

The centre itself is designed to have a house/home like feel and will feature a full functional kitchen, family room, quiet room and washroom.

For more information on the new autism centre, please contact the CDC directly at 250-392-4481 or visit their website by clicking on the link above.

Friends of The Beautiful Mind Project

We are extremely proud and excited to be teaming up with the following business in our community in support of The Beautiful Mind Project!! These awesome people have volunteered to have our poster and pamphlets featured in their business as well as sell our signature decals for us! We couldn't be happier with the positive feedback we are getting from our town and hope it continues on for years to come!
